Chandler Branch, Executive Director of Art Saint Louis, will talk about the Art Saint Louis organization and the new phone APP they have created to help artists sell their art online.

ArtLoupe is a mobile-to-mobile publishing, discovery and sales tool for creators and consumers of visual art. The ArtLoupe mobile app helps people browse, discover, buy, publish, share and sell original works of art via robust search features, social sharing, publishing and syndication capabilities. Simply put, ArtLoupe connects artists and art lovers, and it does this in ways that are convenient and fun.

The Art Saint Louis mission is to create and present original exhibitions, educational programming and support services aimed at cultivating and celebrating the art of our region. Their efforts connect and benefit artists and the audiences their work impacts by helping artists achieve professional success while deepening our community’s understanding and enjoyment of contemporary visual art.

Art Saint Louis presents exhibitions year-round in our gallery/café hybrid in the historic Park Pacific building at 1223 Pine Street in the heart of downtown St. Louis. Every exhibit is free and open to the public. Art Saint Louis Juried Exhibitions showcase new works by visual artists aged 21 and older residing within a 200-mile radius of St. Louis. In addition to our St. Louis regional exhibitions, we present a biennial Fiber Focus exhibition open to artists in nine Midwest regional states: Arkansas, Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Tennessee.

Message from Jim Irwin, GSLAA president,

Perhaps you were not aware! But the GSLAA has been having some very informative and interesting programs. We have another such meeting coming up soon. John Salozzo, is giving a very special program about the history of photo manipulation, using an airbrush and painting with realism.  that you will all find interesting.

If you have not been to a meeting recently you might not be aware of our enhanced meeting format changes. Besides having a very interesting program, members are now given much more time to interact with their fellow members. We have shortened the business meeting as we are handling much of the general business at our board meetings. We have nice snacks and soft drinks for all. Also at each meeting we have two special exhibits called “Show Case Artists “ in addition to the featured program. These artists are juried in their respective medium and will be exhibiting a small exhibit during the evening.  We have a great venue with lots of room and great parking.

So come to the meeting and take advantage of your membership in this dynamic art association, it’s educational and truly a great opportunity to meet and interact with your colleagues.
